 Dr Sean T. Woods

Did you ever stop to think about how amazing the human body is?  Dr. Sean Woods chose to become a chiropractor to study the human body and practice one of the largest natural healing disciplines in the world.  When he was a young teenager he suffered an injury to his lower back while playing sports.  The injury never completely healed and it left him searching for answers.

Dr. Woods was born in Cortland, NY on July 19th, 1969.  He was the third of four children and was active throughout his childhood.  His low back injury did not prevent him from playing high school sports at Cortland High which included football, baseball, and basketball.  He was awarded a scholarship to play basketball at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY where he graduated with a fine arts degree.  Soon after, he went on to pursue a Masters in Architecture at the University of Buffalo.

After Dr. Woods’ first year in architecture school he was introduced to chiropractic and its philosophy.  He had found the answer he was looking for to his low back injury 10 years prior.  He switched professions and he became a Doctor of Chiropractic from LifeUniversity in Marietta, GA in 1997.

Dr. Sean Woods has been in private practice in Old Town Alexandria, VA for 10 years.  His wife, Michelle, is also a chiropractor and they have three children.  Today he is free of back pain and has learned that the amazing healing power of the human body.  He currently teaches stretching classes, gives lectures, and is dedicated to improving the health and lives of everyone he meets.
