Intentionality

How to Listen to Your Body

Your Organs Are Communicating with You—Physically and Emotionally

Below is the chapter on Intentionality, taken from Dr. Sean Woods’ book, “The Healing Vibe.”

Your organs are communicating to you how well they are doing by the way you feel, both physically and emotionally. This internal dialogue is extremely important to recognize because by the time an organ itself starts hurting you are in big trouble. The body and mind have been trying to communicate with you for a long time through muscle-skeletal pain that your organs/glands are not happy. Having a high tolerance for pain and ignoring symptoms is not the best road to travel when seeking health.

When organs congest and systems back up, all kinds of mental imbalances and organ/gland dysfunctions can simultaneously be found. Science is beginning to show that these physical manifestations were preceded by sustained negative emotions for months if acute and years if chronic. All these problems begin occurring on levels that scientists have just recently been able to detect. Believe it or not, these malfunctions were first happening at the molecular level of protons, neutrons, and electrons. This process is explained through the wonderful world of quantum physics which has grown exponentially in its understanding over the last three decades.

Early studies in quantum physics revealed some fascinating findings on the behavior of particles of light called photons. Scientists wanted to know if the photons produced light by acting like a wave or as a particle. What they eventually came to realize is that photons can act like a wave or a particle depending on the intention of the person doing the experiment. This simple premise has led many scientists down the road from strict science to the spiritual realization of conscious intention. The power of intention demonstrates that what we attract and what we observe in our realities comes from our beliefs and our intentions. This is such a simple, and yet, such a complex theory and we see proof of it every day in the manifestations that surround us, good and bad.

A great visual illustration of how intentions can affect us was made by Dr. Masaru Emoto, who studied the effects of intention on water. Dr. Emoto has written numerous books about the experiments he performed where he would imprint messages on a cup of water and freeze it. Water, which is formed. from two hydrogens and one oxygen, is extremely formable and a great substrate for this experiment. He would examine the results of the frozen structures through a microscope. The samples of water with words like love, thank you, peace, or similar positive words as well as pleasing images and classical music would cause the crystals to form magnificent symmetrical crystals. The samples with negative words, such as hate, fool, etc., on the other hand would produce darkened odd shapes.

He also demonstrated how a group of people prayed over a body of water that was polluted and with prayer intention alone they cleaned up the water. His point is that there are consequences to the things we think, and that intentionality can set the foundation for all that you experience. Now, consider that our bodies are 60-80 percent water. His theory is that our intentions can have profound effects on our body and on our planet. This corresponds with everything I have been saying about how our emotions can affect our organs, our systems, and our overall health. Dr. Emoto’s experiment helps to demonstrate with dramatic proof that what we think, we literally become.
